Yesterday was the ultimate classic Euro/JDM meet in the PacNW. The 7th Annual Old School Reunion was hosted at Country Village in Bothell, WA. The only cars allowed in this meet are Pre-1988 European or Japanese manufactured vehicles. All those wonderful BMWs, Mercs, hell there was even an Opel that showed up!
The crowd was great. Everyone was hanging out, talking cars, cooking hot dogs and burgers on their little Webber grills. It was a blast! Some people even brought props!
But this one takes the cake:
It's a working slot car replica of Pacific Raceways in here in Washington, both the road track and drag strip! A lot of work went into it and it looked awesome, especially in that clean Honda wagon!
Speaking of Honda, the Canadians invaded using these bad little Civics with matching trailers. These are both "Best in Show" winners at different events around the PacNW.
Here's a friend's Corona, it's running my old Celica's W55 transmission right now. He's a wizard, and swapped it in by himself in like 2 hours with the motor in the car.
And this is where I needed new pants.
And here's where I needed another set of pants.
Thankfully, I have good friends that will lend me their pants:
Brian (semi-pantsless above) unfortunately blew his motor up on the way home from this meet.
He's trying to figure out if he wants to keep it an R series motor (I happen to have another 20/22R Hybrid in my garage), or go big with it. Suggestions?

Another guy from a forum we're both on just 18RG'd his RA40:
He bought the motor (bastard) and some other JDM goodies while he was "deployed" to Japan in the Navy. Only issue with an 18RG is getting parts here.
